Lindsay Persohn

Lindsay Persohn, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Literacy Studies program in the College of Education at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. Her research is focused on arts-based qualitative research methodologies for large data sets, public scholarship, children's literature, visual literacy through the art of children's book illustration, and, in particular illustrations of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.Dr. Persohn is the host and producer of Classroom Caffeine, a podcast series designed to engage teachers in the field with senior-career education researchers to work to improve teaching through public scholarship. She is engaged in service opportunities in local, state, and national organizations. She has enjoyed reviewing newly published children's books for the School Library Journal for over a decade. Dr. Persohn has published in the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education and Qualitative Research.
