Anand Kumar
Professor
Dr. Anand Kumar is a Professor of Marketing in the School of Marketing and Innovation at USF's Muma College of Business and serves as the Director of the M.S. in Marketing program. His research focuses on how consumers and decision makers process information and its impact on a firm's marketing and communication strategies. He has examined factors affecting the effectiveness of marketing communications, consumer acceptance of new technology, consumer emotions, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. His publications have appeared in leading marketing and advertising journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and the Journal of Advertising. Dr. Kumar teaches courses on Brand Management, and Consumer Behavior at the Muma College of Business and is the recipient of an Outstanding Teaching Award. He has carried out marketing research projects for large corporations and also provided expert witness testimony on branding and consumer perception related issues. Kumar earned his Ph.D. in marketing from Indiana University, Bloomington and taught at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale prior to joining the University of South Florida, Tampa.
