Adam Lewin

Professor

Adam B. Lewin, Ph.D., ABPP is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics in the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. He completed his doctoral work at the University of Florida (2007) and post-graduate training at UCLA (residency and fellowship 2009). He has been at USF Health since 2009 and is currently the Division Chief of Pediatric Neuropsychiatry and Director of the USF Rothman Center & Tourette Center of Excellence, a multidisciplinary clinical-research program focused on Obsessive-Compulsive, Tourette/tic, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Lewin is a clinical psychologist and is board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. His research focuses on improving psycho-social treatment delivery, risk screening, early intervention, treatment augmentation, and refinement for new populations. Recent projects include a randomized trial for youth with misophonia and tic screening in pediatric primary care. He has over 200 peer-reviewed publications, several chapters, and two books. Dr. Lewin has several service/professional leadership roles: At USF, he serves on the Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee for the College of Medicine. He is on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (President 2023), serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the International OCD Foundation, and is an Associate Editor for three peer-reviewed journals in psychology/psychiatry. He also serves on the Commission on Accreditation for the American Psychological Association, a senate-like body that reviews all health-service psychology graduate, residency, and fellowship training programs. He is also committed to physician, psychologist, and clinical-researcher training, professional mentorship, and continuing education for clinicians
