Jung Chul Park
Professor
Jung Chul Park is a Professor of Finance and the Fintech Professor of Finance. He serves as the associate director of the Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance and the director of MS Financial Analytics and MS Fintech programs. Professor Park has spearheaded the development of the innovative Fintech programs and has bolstered the MS and BS Finance curricula, securing STEM designation for both. He teaches theory of finance to doctoral and masters students and developed international finance as the first Global Citizens course for undergraduate students. Prior to joining the faculty at USF, he taught at Auburn University and Louisiana Tech University. His research interests are in corporate finance, investments, international finance, and the interaction of finance and politics. His work has been published in 67 articles in prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Business Ethics, which have received more than 3,700 citations on Google Scholar. He received the Shinhan Bank & KAFA Young Scholar Award, the Top-Journal Paper Award, and the Best Paper Award from the Korea America Finance Association, the STOXX Best Paper Research Award at the European Financial Management Association Meeting, and the Best Paper Award from the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies. He is also the recipient of numerous research awards from USF, Auburn University and Louisiana Tech University.
