Tomaro I. Taylor

Tomaro I. Taylor is the Director of Special Collections at USF Libraries and holds a full librarian position on the Tampa Campus. The first USF librarian to receive professional certification as a Certified Archivist, Tomaro has extensive experience developing and coordinating both certification and certificate exams on archival subjects at the national level and developing and leading archival and related internships at the local level. Tomaro's contributions to the archives field also include serving as President of the Society of Florida Archivists and President of the Academy of Certified Archivists. In August 2024, Tomaro will become the first librarian/archivist from Florida to serve as President of the Society of American Archivists, the oldest and largest association for archives and archivists in the United States.
