Fawn Ngo
Associate Professor
Dr. Fawn T. Ngo is an Associate Professor of Criminology at the University of South Florida (USF). She earned her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. She also holds an M.S. in Criminal Justice from California State University Long Beach and a B.A. in Criminology, Law & Society from the University of California Irvine. Her research centers on evaluating criminological theories, exploring factors associated with online and offline victimization, conducting evaluative studies, and applying predictive analytics in criminology and criminal justice. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and collaborates on interdisciplinary projects. She is an affiliated faculty member of the Risk to Resilient: Trafficking in Persons (TiP) Lab and has led evaluative studies on crime prevention and intervention strategies. She serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Crime & Delinquency, and Victims & Offenders: An International Journal of Evidence-Based Research, Policy, and Practice. She is also a Member-at-Large on the Board of the Communication Coordination Committee of the United Nations (CCCUN). Dr. Ngo was a recipient of the Dean's Outstanding Service Award from USF's College of Behavioral & Community Sciences (2024). She was also recognized as Club Advisor of the Year by USF Sarasota's Speech and Debate Club (2020) and received USF Sarasota's Excellence in Teaching (2018), Excellence in Research (2015), and Outstanding Professor (2014) awards.
