Venkat Bhethanabotla is a Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Materials Science and Engineering Program at the University of South Florida. He obtained his B.S. from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India, and Ph.D. from Penn State in PA, USA, both in Chemical Engineering. He serves as an associate editor for the IEEE Sensors Journal. Dr. Bhethanabotla is an elected Fellow of AIChE, AAAS, AIMBE and NAI, for his distinguished contributions to the fields of chemical and biomedical engineering, particularly for the modeling and development of acoustic wave chemical and biological sensors.
