Fraser Ottanelli

Professor

Dr. Fraser Ottanelli is a Professor in the Department of History at USF Tampa. His areas of research and teaching include US radicalism, immigration and ethnic history. On these topics, in addition to numerous articles and essays, he has authored or co-authored six books, among them: The Communist Party of the United States: From the Depression to World War II; Italian Workers of the World: Labor Migration and the formation of Multi-Ethnic States; and Letters from the Spanish Civil War: A U.S. Volunteers Writes Home. His most recent work (co-authored with Professor Nunzio Pernicone), Assassins against the Old Order: Italian Anarchist Violence in Fin-de-Sicle Europe, was just published by the University of Illinois Press. For his research and studies he has received (among others) a Fulbright along with grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Council of Learned Societies, and the Agnelli Foundation.
